Japan and US Team Up to Develop Clean-Energy Tech

US Energy Secretary Steven Chu met with Japanese Prime Minister Yukio Hatoyama yesterday to confirm the United States and Japan’s joint commitment to taking the lead in developing clean-energy technologies like solar and wind power. The two countries believe that their enhanced cooperation will not only benefit their individual efforts in the field, but will also demonstrate to the international community the need for collaboration in addressing global energy needs.
